What is the best way to rebed ports?

Zen is almost ready to splash. I have all the external hardware bedded except for the ports. The tolerance between the portion of the port that protrudes beyond the sides of the cabin and the hole it fits in is only about 1/32 or 1/64 of an inch, maybe less. The gap is plenty large enough to let water in but too small to squeeze in much bedding compound. Any ideas?

Good question...I think I've done this probably 3x now.  I've carefully put a bead of caulk around the outside of the cabin where the port pops through.  It never seemed to last.  I've used various marine caulks but have avoided anything with silicone.  They crack, crumble away, or discolor.

My last attempt appears to be the most promising.  I decided to go away from marine and try rv.  I picked up a tube of white rv caulk at Camping World and applied it the exact same way.  It's been about 6 months (3 months into rainy season) and I think I'm onto something....

I did mine and it has held up better than any other caulk I have used.
Also, move the port to one side opposite the side you are filling ot make the gap bigger, when done, caulk around it again, and smooth it out, clean up with mineral spirits. worked well.
