Pleased to say that my newly acquired Com-Pac 23 will shortly be moored at Tavares marina on Lake Dora in Central Florida, so getting very excited!
Although I have the RYA Competent Crew certification, that was almost 20 years ago so I am very much regarding myself as a newbie (I'm 67). I will be taking an ASA course as soon as my schedule permits, but I was wondering if there are any sailors in the vicinity of Tavares that would be interested in joining me for an occasional sail on Lake Dora and offer some of your experience!
My plan is to gain experience and knowledge during the next year or so on the lake and then move her to a marina near New Smyrna on the east coast of Florida.
Also if there is anyone that would be interested in a relative newbie crewing in the vicinity of New Smyrna, Daytona etc I would appreciate the opportunity.
Thank you
Bob
