Brought the 19 home today from my friends shed. She has been there since October. His shed is a 40 by 60 shed (I think...) and so she had plenty of room even parked next to his huge camper and enclosed trailer.

I spent much of the winter and especially this last weekend going through junk in the shop and trying to get it in usable shape which was a project I had just started right before the lightning caught me in mid 2010.
It was a mess to say the least.  This weekend I finished a tool cart, and painted some more walls, then got rid of some more junk.

This morning my grandpa and neighbor (whose shed it was in) placed bets that she wasnt going to fit...... We were talking a mere 1.5 inches to squeak her in by....... as we say at the marina, "A Marina Mile"  :D

Here are some pics, and dont haze me about the dirty shop, the admiral is doing a good enough job as it is! LOL

Oh! And she came home for lunch from work, and the smile on her face was priceless! she told me it is one more step closer to sailing time  ;D
And she had a bet that it wouldnt fit.....but she never told me.  >:( .. LOL

Hi MacGyver,

Firstly, congratulations on successfully fighting back from the lightning strike.

Secondly, congratulations on getting your boat home and in the workshop. It is a fine looking specimen and doesn't look to need much work, so hopefully you will have it ready for the sailing season this year.

Thirdly, congratulations on your clean and tidy workshop, you asked us not to haze you because  of it being untidy, believe me you have nothing to worry about, your workshop is like the Taj Mahal compared to mine.

Finally, congratulations on your unfailingly positive contributions to this forum and all the information and effort you put into helping the rest of us. I always read your posts with interest, for their information and for the positive attitude that shines through.

Thank you for your contributions and I hope that things continue to go well for you in the future!

Regards,
Pete H.

Well done Mac. She sure looks pretty nestled snugly into the corner. And, most importantly, she is very close by - always available for admiration and whatever "the labor of love" requires.

Like me, you have used all that space above garage door level to advantage. I had to make two LARGE shelf platforms suspended from the ceiling of a 2-car garage to store some of my "stuff".

And, my wife is also constantly on my case about my attempts to "cram 10 lbs into a 5 lb bag".

You are definitely not alone!

Thanks PeteH!
I really appreciate it!

And Capt Nemo, you and I both! I have 2 Harken hoisters in here, one has all my boat stuff on it, the other has the project boat on it.... then more boat stuff in a far corner on a overhead shelf  ;)

Lucky for me I kept the idea modular in the shop as I knew I would modify it a few time before it was right. I built mine around the use of solid Rubbermaid containers, as they are easily my storage box of choice. Too bad nothing the wife wants to store fits in them.... LOL

Thanks guys!
