IT'S A KOINONIA CHRISTMAS!

Procrastination does pay off!
This fall, due to many other obligations, I put off getting Koinonia into her winter PJ's. As Christmas was fast approaching and I was planning to get her over to her winter home and cover on, I realized, as I walked out the door to work one day: This will make a great Christmas decoration centerpiece! So I began to plan and plan and buy lights and more lights.

Merry Christmas!
A few words about the rig: Some scoffers may observe that Bob23 may have lost it and put up a mast from a Super Sunfish. Nay nay my good man. This is actually the last remaining speciman of the Short Rig the military developed for the Compac 23. This short rig is so top secret, that even the Hutchins have never heard of it!
Yup, our little 23's were originally designed for use during wartime as a decoy ship to drop handheld torpedos over the side to help sink enemy submarines. We kid around about them being bombproof but it's true: A Compac 23 can take a torpedo broadside without so much as ddropping an ornament!
Other keen observers will note the plastic Christmas Bear lashed to the mast. A few years ago whilst wandering around WallyWorld at Christmas time, the Admiral and I decided to buy the cheesiest Christmas thing we could find. The Bear has been a part of our family and Christmas lighting every year. This is the first year we could coax him aboard. (Christmas bears are not natural sailors, as you know)
In this photo, you can see the timid little bear resting in our Adirondack chair trying to muster up the courage to climb aboard.

From our crew to yours: A very Merry and Blessed Christmas!!!!!

Merry Christmas Bob and family.  We love the color coded port/starboard shrouds.

We're really happy our 23 is under her new carport and all tarped in.  We are expecting about 10 to 15 inches of snow tonight with 35 mph gusts of wind.  Time to break out the Drambuie and light the fire.

Didn't notice the green and red, that's great! But I did notice, and love, the blue lights at the water line!

Bob, I love reading your post!

They just upgraded our winter wonderland to 12-18" of snow with 35-45 mph winds.  Just love Wisconsin.  Probably won't go sailing tomorrow?

Just noticed the blurry photos...sorry about that. Yeah, how about that crafty use of blue lights at the waterline? You can't see in the photos, but I put a string of yellow inside to highlight the warm, teak interior. Trying to convince the big red guy that I've been good all year...Santa loves the look of Teak! Didn't know that, did you?
Snow! A few days ago we were working in T shirts here in the South of NJ. 32 degrees right now but still clear. I hope everyone enjoys the last day of fall and hopefully, the Mayans are wrong and we'll wake up to a December 22nd! I'm not worried are you?
All this talk about Drambuie...I may have to get a small stash and become reaquanted.
Again, a very merry and blessed Christmas to all!
