On my CP19 I wanted to try out a foiled rudder for cheap before I built one or bought one so I made this "slip-on".  It goes over the existing rudder and will need to be attached somehow to keep it from falling off underway (I drilled and tapped a hole in the rudder and attached a small strap to keep it in place).
The foil is 17.5 inches tall and made for a rudder that is 12 inches wide x 3/8 inch thick and is made to a NACA 12 foil shape.  It is made out of plywood & oak and then epoxied and painted so it is semi waterproof.  The wetted surface is not super flat and smooth but should give you an idea of what a foiled rudder feels like for a fraction of the cost.  I used it for a full season and decided to go for it and built my own foil using my stock rudder as the foundation.
I would like to get $30 for it plus shipping which should be about $12
