Just bought a bimini for my CP 19.  I have to install it myself.  It is a well made and made specifically for a CP19, but I had no idea there are so many little details to consider when positioning the thing on the boat.  Anyone with a bimini on a CP 19 and willing to take a pic or two of it -- specifically main sheet system and bimini attachment positions,  please send to dicknatta at yahoo dot com.  Like to gather as much info as I can before I jump off the cliff and start drilling holes in the boat.

(BTW -- Ameriseam in Tampa did a great job on the bimini.  Hope it is OK to mention that here.)

Popeye,

What was the price? Did they do the whole thing or just the cover? I have a frame for mine but no material.

Price with double wall aluminum and Sunbrella with boot was $360.  That includes zippers on the bows for easy removal.  Nylon hardware.

I'll take some pic of mine.

Does yours have a track? mine was installed by the factory, just inside of the jib car tracks. only thing is when it is laid forward (down) it rubs on the combing where the winch drum is. I spoke w/ Gerry at the St. Pete boat show and he said they would adjust it.

It can only go so far aft w/ the set up on the main sheet, a longer boom would allow the bimini to go further back.

Here is a pic showing how it cannot go further aft due to the mainsheet.

I'll try and get you some pics and measurements of where the track is.

Mine has a track positioned like yours.  I may have installed the bimini backwards though -- the long bow on mine goes from the track aft towards the backstay.  I too have trouble with the main sheet getting in the way of the bimini.  Want to position it farther aft right up to the backstay, but end boom main sheeting gets in the way.  Moving forward on the boat is tough with bimini as far forward as it is.  I will install mid-boom main sheeting to position the sheet in front of the bimini.  Once that is done, might run a rigid support arm from the stern rail to the main bimini bow to make the whole thing much stronger.

Would send a pic if I could figure out how to do it on this web site.  Haven't used it much.
