Forestay wire diameter

Does anyone know the wire diameter of the original forestay of a CP16, (1/8,  5/32)??  Even better, how bout the length pin to pin?  I want to install an old CDI furller but the present forstay will not go thru the luff extrusion due to past modifications. In order to rake the mast the length of the forestay has also been altered by its previous owner.
Thanks in advance

All Compacs use 5/32" forestay diameter, except CP27's which use 3/16".

Lenght pin to pin, sorry don't have that.

Good luck on the furler install, sounds like a fun and useful project.    You may need to set up the mast, then  sight up the mast to get it re-raked (slightly forward on CP16's), readjust shroud tension, then measure the "new" forestay lenght.  Hutchins can probably tell you but best to measure your boat.

I appreciate the reminder about the forward rake on the CP-16; somewhat counterintuitive for me, but I do have a CDI furler set-up, so when I get the boat out of the garage for the coming season, I'll try to remember to measure the length of the forestay and post something again on this topic.
