just a few thoughts as we approach the end of another season. first, thanks to a good friend and cp16 sailor, a wonderful trip to mark twain lake in missouri was realized. i have never been a camper but my good buddy john j and his fellow retired teacher gary made it a great expierence. sleeping in a cp16 is an art at least for a guy 6'5" and in 44 degree weather and a with a good blanket i actually did sleep. i also sailed with john on his other boat a san juan 23 on lake springfield Illinois and i had many a good sail on carlyle lake with my wife and some solo. i meant some good people this year including a guy named rich from mt vernon illinois, another cp 16 sailor. all in all a great year. the best to you all in the off season. sad to say at least for those north of the mason dixon line, the sailing year is reaching its end.
