To the best of my understanding, the photo gallery never survived the the great hack attack of 2008.

I agree the photo gallery died during the sites demise.
Actually I believe that the 'worm' entered through the photo gallery.
By using the 'Way Back' site I actually found my photo gallery I posted, trouble is the 'Way Back' only gives you a snap shot of that particular day selected by you...if that makes sense. I can get to a particular post on a particular day at a particular time but not the whole site. So this becomes very tedious.
