OK I'm a dummy. Turned my wet cell into a crystal cell of jelly like crud covering my battery plates.
I have had my one battery on the 'slow solar cooker' for three years, would would think that I would check that the 6 cells that are covered with water more often. I did once a season, maybe.
Nope! The dope let the water boil away into hydrogen and oxygen gases.

Check check check, even the 'sealed no maintenance' batteries. Don't you believe it. Those tops can be prised off for a liquid inspection. So I bought a new deep cycle battery on sale at West Marine a while back and yes I looked for coverage.

It's your money, I'm sure you can spend it better then the FNG in the White House now.
