Forestay length

I have a 1986 CP-16, I recently purchased a bowsprit from Com-Pac for it.  According to Woody, I could use my existing forestay.  After doing some quick calculations, I don't think it will be long enough.  Does anybody know the correct length?

Thanks

spaul

Scott, I'll bet the forestay will be only 1-2" shorter overall. If your turnbuckle doesn't have enough room to extend just add an extension plate or tang. Should be cheaper and just as good as a new forestay. Did they send you a bobstay for it or does this boat have one?

Steve,

Yes, they sent a bobstay.  Thanks for the advice I will look into adding tangs.
