I would respectfully disagree with the application of a barrier coat on a dry sailed boat, particularly one that is past the switch to Vinylester resins.  Barrier coats are for one purpose only and that is to protect from blistering.  A dry sailed boat that stays in the water a couple of weeks will not blister.  Barrier coats are very expensive, hard to apply correctly, subject to breaks from misapplication errors,  will not hold up to abrasion all that well.  My boat has a barrier coat but it stays in the water for two to three years at a time.  This year I had to repair a half dozen breaks in the coat before reapply anti-fouling.  Believe me you don't want to start down that road when there is no reason for it.

My advice, put your money into upgraded bunk to boat contact material eliminating any bunk covering that will hold water for any length of time, particularly if your boat stays in the weather on the trailer.

A good wax on the gelcoat will keep the hard growth off for several weeks.  We often have put a power boat in a slip for 10 days to two weeks in the Gulf of Mexico, and a quick pressure wash will clean off the slime.  The wax will keep it from discoloring.

Brackish,

Sounds like good advice, I really don't want to treat the bottom if not needed.

Wax and bunk material make sense.  If issue, will paint then.

Once bottom is paited, there is no going back.

I am giving a eco friendly product called Aurora Bottom Coat VS721 a try,
I just put it on my pc and it goes on like a wax. Real slick and shiny. Gonna be hard for a barnacle to attach. Has great reviews on fresh water and somewhat mixed on Salt Water. Might have to haul the pc out after a month to see what it looks like
