Does anyone out who owns a 25 ever sailed with a wisker poll, is it effective. Has anyone rigged a way to lock the helm so one can adjust sails?

Locking the helm, sure look at my cockpit pictures in the Gallery and better yet the Frappr link on the opening page of CPYOA site. skip.
