Good Day,

Curious if anyone has used an electric winch handle to turn the winch when raising the Mast?

Something like eWimch, WinchRite, or even a Dewalt 69 volt right angle stud drill.

Thanks

I have thought about it....  What I do is to get set up and then grab the mast while standing against the companionway.  I push it up as far as I can and pull on the mast raising line to lock it in place.  Much easier to then turn the winch and raise it the rest of the way.  From zero to about a 45 deg angle is the hardest and this takes most of that away.  Sail On,  Al

I have been looking into this. My thinking is it would probably take a Stud/Joist drill. They have significantly more torque than a normal drill.
