Diesel fuel additive?

This question is for those with Diesel engines.  I use so little diesel that I am concerned with getting water and or growing various undesirables in the tank.  So, what are you using?  I have found a product that seems to fit the bill but the amount available treats 400 gal??  From Jan through today, I have used 3 gals of Diesel so at about 3 gal per 1/2 year, I will be dead and buried with lots of diesel additive left.  LOL  Love the diesel but think I need an additive.  Thoughts?   Sail on,  Al

I use both of these for the diesel in my CP27: Biobor JF & Star Tron Diesel Additive. I just add both to the can every time I buy diesel. You're correct that it's a very small amount of additive.

I also use Star-Tron by Star Brite. The diesel fuel in both boats is from last year, and I just inspected the tanks. No growth or foul smells. The small bottle treats 256 gallons, but my diesel mechanic said it doesn't hurt if more than the recommended amount is used.
