After only a year, the Cetol is already in need of refinishing. When I return from the Florida trip, think I'll strip it and start using teak oil instead.

I kinda want to switch Bella over to teak oil, also.

I have friends with an IP27. They oil the exterior teak every 4 months if it needs it or not, and it always looks great.

That's what I've done on most of my previous boats. I've also done Cetol before. Bella will mostly be living under cover, so it should last pretty well. Oiling the teak on a 19 doesn't take very long.

On my Eclipse, I have used, for ten years, Semco Natural teak sealer.  Easily re-coated in about an hour so I do it twice a year.  I cleaned the teak when I bought the boat and applied 2 coats of Semco.  Teak still looks good and has not deteriorated.  I think I will go with it on the new boat since it appears that nothing has been done to the teak. Wonder what the majority on this board do???   Sail On   Al
