Nothing wrong with driveway sailing.  Our 19 is stored with the mast up for easy cabin access.  I only read my Small Craft Advisor magazines while sitting in her.  On light wind days I'll often raise the sails to air them out.  Sure, I've gotten looks from passerbys, but I think they were just jealous.

Prior to gaining the new girlfriend and her 2 children (going on nearly 2 years together now) I used to just go sit in the boat or even lay in it while it sat lonely in the garage. My sails used to sit inside the house, but now those rooms house the 2 sometimes insane children.

I was told this year by the 4 year old boy that his boat will be put in the water this next year so he can use it........ and I mean that literally, he sternly told me in front of his mom that it will be used. His mom approved of his message, she has been out on it when we first started dating and the kids had a place to go when we went out. This kids now (due to circumstances) have no where to go, so they will get to experience the thrill of sailing this upcoming year hopefully.

Oddly, I always felt great laying in the boat, or sitting back in the cockpit or cabin.......... relaxing and reminiscing about sailing around the lake. Camping took its place this year but I hope to do both this next year indeed.

I?ve even slept on the boat - once the companion board is set - you cannot tell where you are - on water or not 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

i sat in the boat with our then 5 year old grandson and played pirates for 6 hours.  joanie brought us lunch and we ended up sleeping aboard in the driveway.

i noticed my nieghbor sits in his power boat almost everyday while on the lift.  it doesn't even have a prop on it.  he said it's better than a man cave because his wife doesn't know he's in there.

Driveway sailing rules! Love it! I've been doing it myself 'this season!'  :)

Ready for Drive Way sailing this season as I acquired a custom fit snow plow blade attachment for install on the trailer coupler. No problem here in Michigan this season.

Just put a little electric heater and a good book in and you are golden !! Great way to winter sail !

No driveway sailing for me, only in the driveway every three years of so and lots of stuff on board for the maintenance that happens, but a whole lotta tied up to the slip hanging out on the boat.  Wintertime many beautiful days with no one at the marina so I take my books, go up and sit in the cockpit weather permitting or go below if not.  I have power so usually the Davis Air Dry is enough to take the chill off, but if not I keep a small heater in the dock box for these occasions. I've been known to have a thirty minute maintenance job take a day. Very calming.

Got the "Wake Breaker" tuned up....that is the snow blower. Ready for winter driveway sailing. 8)

Very nice - driveway sailing on a snowy winters day - hang out read a book and dream of the warmer water sailing - could get neighbor kids to rock the boat to make it more real - ok maybe not the best idea 😂😂😂😂😂😝😝😝

Here we had 60 mile per hour winds yesterday and had to set a second anchor, even put a life jacket on to be safe.

My PFD is Sherpa Lined insulated.  Good to have some humor. ;D

Whoa 60mph winds - sure glad that anchor held or you might have ended up in your neighbors driveway !
