I have to say, I'm with him.  Some basic concepts here 1. He is trying to not lose what he worked thirty years to build up and also to keep his employees afloat.  2. No one is FORCED to go eat there, it is free choice an exercise of individual rights and a willingness to live with the consequences of that choice. 

There were three more points.  I eliminated them because of the "no politics" rule here, but if you think about it you probably can get them.

Don't even get me started! In Va. we have about 2,400 deaths from 'the Rona' over 62% of them are in nursing homes or correctional facilities. How did a lockdown help them? The vast majority of the rest were seniors with co morbid problems which is the population always at risk for disease. I am a senior, thus am mindful of observing good protocols. Meanwhile businesses are closing for good, folks are unable to pay rent or mortgages, ...like I said don't even get me started. I have observed that the folks making the rules are not losing their jobs.

On another 'Rona' note our ETOH consumption is reaching new levels! You know you are stepping up the beer consummation when the garbage guys leave an AA flyer on your recycling bin!

...oh am only drinking local brews to help keep them going, and Bob, PBR is made in LosAngeles and owned by a Russian compony!

Wikipedia's article on Pabst is interesting. It is not owned by a Russian company, although Eugene Kashper, the American entrepreneur who is its chairman, was born in Russia and brought to the US by his parents at six years old.

Pabst has no brewing facilities; all of its beer is brewed by Miller Coors under contract.

Sorry for the thread drift, but I thought pbr (lower case like it's "taste") was pumped from the bilges of ocean going tankers.   So why Bob, if this restaurant owner is your hero, wouldn't you show some respect and raise something palatable?
