Dan, maybe this will help, I bought the smallest porta pot from Thetford, model 135 which I have
used on two different Compac 16's. They push right under the companion way bridge area.
These are good quality units and the company sells replacement parts as well.
The 135 dimensions are : Height 12.2" , Width 13.5, and Depth 15"., they go for about $70.
I don't know if you have a boat yet, if not a call to the factory in Clearwater can verify if these dimensions will work.

Few things are nastier than a porta potty. Even if you manage to use it successfully, you are faced with a truly disgusting task trying to empty it when you get back to port.

My crew and I (including my wife and daughter) have been far happier with a camp potty and wag bags. Lightweight, fits under the companionway, and the disposable bags are easy to use, odor-free and legal to toss into a trash can or dumpster.

I cannot emphasize enough how spot on Wes is with his comment.  One day, after a three day cruise I pulled the porta potty holding tank in 95 degree heat to take it to dump.  Disgusting, then back to fill the flush tank and recharge the holding tank.  More disgusting.  I immediately looked for a better way.  Wag Bags and a clean waste toilet.  Thing about that setup is you can adapt the toilet to your space.  I use the clean waste, but I'm sure I could cut the legs down if I did not have the space.  A three gallon bucket with a five buck camp toilet at Academy Sports works fine too.  For longer cruises a three or five gallon bucket with a gamma seal lid is perfect for storing used bags until you can easily put them in the dumpster.  I'll never use a porta potty again.

I use the Clean Waste Portable Toilet in my CP 19-II with "Wag Bags".  I also have a 5 gallon pail with a toilet seat for random tent camping, etc., again using "Wag Bags".  If you want to extend your bag use for urine, throw a handful or two of kitty litter in the bag.

The Clean Waste Toilet fits nicely behind the hinged companionway step panel.

Mine shown in it's normal place with the drop board lifted and the filler off.  However, we put both fillers in and have a memory foam panel and fitted sheets for the v-berth, so difficult to get to at night.  But it is so light, we move it to the cockpit in the summer or main cabin in cold weather, so we don't have to tear the bed apart for a nightime visit.
