Howdy. I recently acquired a Compac 16, however there doesn't seem to be much of a scene for them in the UK. I read a few US articles and blogs about them and I figured you can't all be wrong about them, so decided to take the leap and buy the boat, and am very much looking forward to sailing it. Hope I made the right choice.

Welcome, Dave!  We have a few other Lime colored sailors here as well.  So I guess the UK Fleet 1 (3 boats we know of including yours) has become reality.  GeeW (Gordon) and CoVianna (David) are of your ilk.

BTW, the entry fee is 500 Pounds of clams.  Euro clams are not viable tender on this site.

Welcome Dave!  And you have experienced a true CPYOA phenomena.  Tim beat Bob23 to the punch at attempted extortion.  But have no fear, Bob and his imaginary Jersey mafioso cohorts will make the scene.  Ignore them all, he and his gang have been trying to collect from me for many years and I'm in the same country.

Euro clams?! Did you not hear that we voted to leave the EU, and that as of March next year they will be Limey Scallops. If you clarify the amount in metric system then I will gladly pay.

Actually, I gave you a big break.  500 Pounds is a non euro currency amount that would equal only around $250 US.
But if you wish, let's see, that would be about 227 Kg of Limey Scallops.
