About three years ago on my Sun Cat I was looking to add a boom vang. My main sheet was a 4 to 1 setup so made that my new boom vang and bought new main sheet blocks. Found what I think is a great set of blocks at Garhauer. They call it a two speed vang, part number 25-2 SP for $200. You also need lots of main sheet. I bought 9/16 but believe 1/2 would be more than adequate for the job. This setup is a little over sized for the Sun Cat but would be a good fit for your boat. It's hard for me to explane how it works, you have two lines coming from the block with two jam cleats. You pull eather sheet coming from the jam cleats and you have 6 to 1. If you pull both sheets at the same time you have 3 to 1 advantage, witch is great for jibbing. Just what worked for me.
