Fellow sailors:

Yes it is that time of year again.  The time of year when you carefully select a Punkin, very carefully measure the greatest distance "C" around in inches.  Then taking a long sharp object such as a knitting needle or bicycle spoke poke it through the Pumpkin measuring the longest distance through the Pumpkin "D" the same place that  "C" was measured.  Using a calculator you then divide "C" by "D".  Sure enough C/D= YES!.....

Punkin Pie.

Sounds like you have been at sea too long. Too much time to ponder...

Nice looking punkin though!

Hey Bob as well:
As they say about beer, "The only thing better than one beer is two beers."

It could be the same with pie for one Tau you get two Pi's!  This is especially good when they are punk in Pi's.

Not really a maths guy, but I did used to try to teach it.

Thanks for pushing me to scan through the Tau Manifesto.

Mean time, Smooth Sailing

Fellow sailors:  I feel compelled to add to this thread.  In at the future I promise to not blog on maths.

I try to get out sailing as much as possible, logging around 270 or so days since moving to NC 5 years ago.  My favorite attire is shorts and short sleeve shirt, sometimes a cover.

This exposes me recklessly to the sun, causing me to become a tan gent!

Not a bad function for a sailor.
