Storm Jib / Heavy Weather Jib

I am reticent to call it a "storm jib" because it is a bit bigger and is SOOO much more useful!
To begin with, it powers the boat to hullspeed in it's applicable conditions... then again, it does so in a mannerly, well controlled, balanced, and yes, FUN way.  It makes what would have been previously considered an unsailable and potentially scary (and even possibly dangerous) day... a SAILING DAY!  This means that you can not only sail more days, but you can set out on a regular day with the confidence that if it builds to out of hand conditions... you have what you need to get where you need to go.
All this for only a hundred fifty bucks!  The people at Rolley Tasker are craftspersons.  It is a thing of beauty in both form and function.  They worked with me to custom create the dimensions for our boats from what was their standard heavy air jib.  The only problem was that I now "had to" order a heavy air main from them... it is loose footed, a bit shorter, and a bit longer at the foot with two severe reef points.  I arrived at the placement of the reef points through experimenting with my stock main using roller reefing in various strong conditions.
It should be in in a month or so... (and as usual with me... "film at eleven")
Here are some pics on the new Com Pac gallery site:
I made them 1024X768 Hi Res, so if you click on them once they come up they can be enlarged.

I would highly recommend this as a minor expense with a potentially great return.

ENJOY YOUR SAILING!!!!
