New Owner CB Question

Last time I posted it was as a "potential new owner."  Good news is that I'm no longer a "potential" owner.  Bad news is that my centerboard will not drop down.  Had it out for the first time yesterday and the cb would not drop.  Nothing I did with the cb line made a difference.  Talked to the previous owner (a friend) this morning and he said that it had not happened to him, but the boat had not been in the water for a couple of years.  It's a 2005 Sun Cat.  Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

I had it happen once on my Legacy. However, after changing tack it dropped normally. Hasn't happened again.

Don't know if this is any help but there it is.

Hopefully, problem solved.  Didn't notice it at first glance, but the line had wrapped around the bolt that secures the U clip.  Pushed the cb to one side while my wife pulled on the line.  Line came right out and everything looks good to go.  Now it's back to the Potomac.
