Hitting 50 is harder than I thought.

I've been on other forums where I could hit 50 posts easily in a weekend.  Sometimes I just want to thank someone for their  post, but need to have 50 to give karma.

Oh, I thought you were talking about  "years" - was going to tell you buckle up for when you hit 60 but, never mind !!

LOL, that's what I thought too.  I was going to tell him 50 is a walk in the park compared to 70.:)

Yep i'm with you guys I thought the subject was 50 years old. So at 70 now that's an issue. You just have to figure out easier ways to get the job done.

Thanks guys.  I will agree that being in my 50's (as in years) is much better than I expected.  However, I do have to frequently remind myself that I'm not in my 20's any more.

Just the other day I had to untarp a load of lumber in 104 degree heat with lots of direct sun hitting the asphalt, black tarps, and the 48K pounds of lumber.  That's 2 tarps per load at 110 pounds each, which had to be folded, rolled up, and put away.  I took a few breaks to drink lots of water and thought how I would have just forced myself through this 30 years ago and then took a break.  Then I drove 50 miles and had to do it all over again putting them back on and the temp was still 104!

So I'm feeling good, but paying much closer attention to the signals my body sends me.

I will admit I've had post envy... or at least enough that I will sometimes look at how many posts other members have and think, "wow, I wonder how they got that?  Are they old or prolific?"

One can always provide direct feedback (e.g great video you made, K3vin, looking to hear more stories about BBB) thank clicking the karma button.  I do look forward to hearing if that raft-up took place, and how many boats made it.

I tell my patients that getting old isn't for sissies but it's better than the alternative...

It's not post envy. I guess Facebook spoiled me with the "like" button. Sometimes I don't want to add another post to a thread, but want to recognize a well made post and that requires me to make 50 before I can do that.

Thanks to your post, I'm now one baby step closer.

Thanks, you're helping me get there. I was a fairly prolific poster on a forum where I was one of the early members and maintained first page status (members ranked in post count order) for years, but was light years behind the top posters who were administrators and received post count for all their private postings to each other.
