First day out on Alcova lake. Took awhile to get everything rigged but for the day so only had an hour or so to sail but she is ready to go quick next time. It is going to take some time getting used to her compared to my last boat an Omega 14. The compac needs a little more headway to come about in light air. A few tacks I got backwinded and had to start over.

The motor wouldn't stay running which will need to be trouble shot as well. It did well enough to get us back when the thunderstorms rolled in though.

I noticed that the lower part of the shroud that connect to the turnbuckle was bent. To replace that do I need to replace the whole shroud?

In other words, you had a great time!! The lower part of at least one of my shrouds has been bent for years. Works fine, I wouldn't replace it unless it's severly bent. And unless it's severly bent, I also wouldn't try to straighten it.
Cheers!!! Bob23
