Whoopsie! Bob23 inserts foot in mouth...again! Nope, the other Susan.

Well that's good to know it's the other Susan. What other Susan?........ does Linda know bout "the other Susan"?

Ok, thread drift.......CBMSG 2.0.....there a quick return.

See how easy it is to defeat thread drift?? No, the "other Susan" is none other and Sunapee Sailing. Well, no, that didn't come out right. There actually is no other "other Susan". Oh dear, I can't seem to get this right!!! I was extending an invitation to Sunapee to the CBMSG 2.0. Got it??
In any event and whenever it is, and whoever shows up, I'm looking forward to the this epic gathering of some of the most fun if not questionable characters I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!

Ahh....Well let me also encourage "the other Susan" to join us, though she may never be able to be seen in public there again after associating with us. Oh, and Bob we are not questionable, more like certifiable!

As far as the date, right now it has been proposed for 8/5/17 but i am open to other dates so the most folks can come but need to hear from ya! I may be coordinating this but i am not the reason for it, you guys are!

Hmmm...maybe because it is so not tomorrow, but truly would like to have folks weigh in on the proposed date of 8/5/17 with the proposed venue and event. I know Heave has said he cannot but a couple others have said would like to. It will be impossible to have a date match everyone's wishes but sure would like to try! My summer calendar is beginning to fill as well so let's jump on this all and give your thoughts. July looks out so we are talking August, with the 5th as the current proposal.

Hey there Susan,

Here's the website for the marina where we are based and where the events will also be based out of:

http://www.regentpointmarina.com

This is the restaurant where we ate at CBMWG this past February and also just across the creek from the marina.

https://www.rroysters.com/restaurants/merroir

Last year we tied in with a cook out and party at the marina, and that is the tentative plan for this year as well but can adjust to accommodate the most folks possible. Hope ya can spring free for it! Maybe some of the more Northerly folks who come can set up a car pool to make the trip tic by faster for folks like yourself who come a goodly distance.

Bob23

See Rick? Told you there was another Susan!! You owe me a PBR!!!
Regarding car pool, other Susan, I'm in NJ so if you can make it down here, we could drive down to the gig. Just a thought.
Bob23

Sunapee Sailing

Thanks Bob23 and Mas.
If I can get off from work, I'll be there.
Thanks Bob23 for the car pool invite. My sister lives 2.5 hrs away so I would probably make it a long stay and visit her before and after.
Are we bringing our boats?
Dreaming of a SunCat
A Horizon Cat would be great too.

Bob23

Welcome. I hope you can make it. Last spring is it was only the 3 of us but we had a blast!!

We didn't bring our boats last time. But Pedro the Brave has his Ranger tug and Rick and Susan (the other other Susan) have their boat at the marina where we gathered last time. I may bring down my Guideboat to do some rowing.
Bob23

Sunapee Sailing

You have a Guideboat? Those are nice boats.
I just sold my Hornbeck canoe (13lbs) to raise money for my future SunCat.
It would be nice to meet all of you and the other, other Susan.
Dreaming of a SunCat
A Horizon Cat would be great too.

Bob23

Yes, my Guideboat (aka Straggler) was my 60th birthday present to myself so now I've had it for 57 years!!! I love rowing, have rowed the Blackburn Challenge twice and hoping this year will be my third.
I'm not familiar with the Hornbeck canoe. Is it skin on frame? Must be for it to weigh 13 pounds! Straggler is about 70 but still easy to cartop.
I hope you can make it!

Tim Gardner

Dang, Bob! Curb the enthusiasm!  SHEESH! Susan, just pay Bob the $5000.00 initiation fee so we can get back to business around here.????

Bob,
The Hornbeck is carbon fiber and Kevlar, I believe. Don't quote me as I haven't had my coffee yet.

I work weekends and have the previous weekend off.
Will be going to my "Siblings Annual Summer BBQ Weekend" SASBBQW 9.0
So, it might be hard to get ANOTHER weekend off.

I loved the canoe but want the money for a sailboat. Someone made me an offer that I couldn't refuse ( insert Godfather voice).
Purchase of a SunCat has highest priority ( which is why I can't pay the $5,000 initiation fee, Tim)
Dreaming of a SunCat
A Horizon Cat would be great too.

Mas

Bob, we owe each other sooo.... many beers!

Susan the Other, hmm...I like it, very regal sounding! We started the CBMWG and CBMSG as they are traditionally times when sailing is at a lull in our neck of the woods. The winter version, (go back if you wish and read the 12 pages of that one!), by the nature of the season involves no boats but instead a gathering around food and then party and bonfire later at Pedro's home. Last summer the plan was to have a small craft,( think kayaks, dinghy, canoe), trip out and around some small islands then join a larger gathering at the marina with many other sailors. The weather drove many to change their minds about any boating and not come though there were probably 50 or so folks in attendance at the party. We are proposing a repeat of that this year. Hope you can figure the time to come and have a chance to visit our neck of the woods and meet the other Susan, uh wait a minute you are the other Susan, but that makes Susan another Susan. Ok that works!

Tim, the $5,000 dollar fee is tax deductible right? You guys are planning to come?

I am going to throw out the following weekend of 8/12 as an alternative date. It does mean we will provide our own entertainment as the marina party is the 8/5 date but as I have mentioned the ability to have dates folks can attend is more important than a party we can go to regardless. Meanwhile it is 8/5 that is proposed.........

The 5th looks good so far for us. Lesa wants to know if we get to go out for a sail on Interlude? I think our plan right now is to take a couple vacation days and make it a four day weekend. Started to look for places to stay. :D
