Hey All, used one of these for an inner stay on the 23D we used to have. Great to get it out of the way when sloop rigged and easy enough put back for the rare cutter excursion. I would like to use one on our 16/2 to make the stay easier to tension and set up and take down, but never have used one as the only forestay connector. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The current system she came with makes it difficult to tension the stay.

Also any thoughts as to the size? Would assume the small for a 16 but have learned to assume little!

thanks  :)

I have one on my 16/3.  It came with the boat so I can't take any credit for it, but it is so good that I bought one for my Weekender, and will use one on my Autumn Leaves.  As long as you tether the pin to the unit, I don't think you can go wrong.

Thanx much Al! You don't happen to know whether your 16 has the small or large size do you? If yu click back on the link it gives the particulars on the two sizes.  Again i would assume small but ya never know!

obtw, where do your boats live?
