We live in the middle of the state. Worst thing we had were tornado watches. There are no basements here so you have to use a room in the center of the house with no windows. A little nerveracking. But no real issues. People over on Cedar Key must have had some issues but I haven't heard.

Up here in NJ, we're keeping an eye on this bad girl. Some are forecasting her to move NNE then do a U-turn to the left and come back down to NJ for another visit. Guess she isn't aware of the hurricane tax our governor has just signed into law. Flee, Hermine, Flee!!!

Well Hermine gave us a glancing blow. Still windy today. Water was up and slightly over the docks, folks sitting outside braving the breeze and enjoying lunch at Merrior Restaurant across the creek from the boat.

First time in 26 years we have had to think about a boat with a named storm present. Glad we are just minding only one now.

Mexico Beach, FL in the zone but on the east side so lower storm surge.  Came out OK.

Came down to check on the boat after the fact, in St Pete,  it's like nothing ever happened, except there's a lot of trash in the marina that was washed from land (foam cups, plastic bottles, plastic bags, etc),  Looks like there was about a 4' storm surge, plus high tide.  no real affect with a breakwater and floating docks in my marina.

Here in NJ, where Hermine was threatening to get up close and personal, instead she headed more easterly sparing us. And... she brought along some lovely winds for a thrilling Labor Day sail! Constant 18 to 20 with gusts in the mid 20's. Thanks! And along with that, some extra high tides so I really didn't need to worry about thin water.
