Hull see through

I am currently looking at a Compac 23. One of the things I noticed as the sun was going down, is that I can see light through the hull in specific spots.  The boat was dark inside, but light was hitting it from outside.   I am trying to determine if this should be a concern or not. Any advice is appreciated. The boat is an 1982.

Non cored fiberglass (a good thing) is essentially translucent.  If the gel coat is light colored and worn and the paint on the inside is also thin and worn, it will allow light to pass through.  It is a cosmetic issue, not a structural issue providing the spots are no more prone to deflect when pressured than those that do not pass light.

Thx also for explaining. I noticed the same thing when I replaced my bow eye. Figured it was ok as the bow was sufficiently thick when I removed and replaced the bolt.
