My 1987 has the brown on the top below the Rub rail.
It has a bad couple of scratches ,too deep to buff or sand . I am trying to find a gelcoat repair kit that would work on chocolate brown. But to kits so far only have white gelcoat that you tint with brown. No kits that I found get get a deep brown . Anybody got any luck with this problem.
Thanks

After a couple of tries with compound, buffing, etc. I gave up and repainted the brown stripe a dark blue. Actually think it looks better...

Found a kit that works well its Evercoat 8000 Gelcoat Repair Kit. It has a clear gelcoat mixture that works well with the Dark colors. Only complaint it dries lighter than you mix it. So test a piece first and let it dry before putting on the boat.
