More Work has been done

I did a ton of work today.

I managed to replace my bulkhead (other post wit pics), Finished plumbing, installed my shower, wired my GPS into the boat permanently, and I have all the wiring ran for my VHF.

When I can get back to the boat to do more work I have to do all of my coax ends, connect the wires to the VHF, get the settings on the GPS to match the VHF, and do the connections at the base of the mast.  I also have to make a bracket for my windex so it clears the VHF antenna.

I have a TON of cleaning to do before the season and some touching up.  I also have to do a fiberglass repair to the dingy and paint it, it is looking rough!

Wait: That's ALL you did today? Kinda slacking off, are we. You had plenty of time to rebuild your truck engine, wax the topsides of the boat, bake a cake or two, take a long nap and find a cure for the common cold. All before dinner!!!! Hahahaha!!!
I made a bracket from a piece of oak I had lying around. Looks nice and sets the windex far enough aft to miss the antenna. I have no pics...you'll have to take my word for it.

Glad someone is making progress!

Well Heave, today I made a phone call and ordered a new foiled rudder and hold down assembly.....so there!

I have a bit to do.  I have a cabin light that isn't working.  I may have tampered with it when I was wiring the mast.

My cabin is really messy.  It happens when I do these big projects.  There is dust and stuff everywhere.  I can't wait to do some spring cleaning but I want to finish the projects first.

You will like the foiled rudder.  It is well worth the price.

I got a little over zealous when I got the metal for my windex.  I have 1/4" stainless steel.  It is going to be hard to cut and drill.  I should have gotten aluminum.  Oh well, I will give it a try.

Thanx Heave, looking forward to it's use. Had an Ida type foiled rudder but someone, not me, backed into it while it was leaning against a post in the boat yard. Bent the heck out of it and broke the pivot bolt. I re-bent it but is now suspect as marine grade aluminum does not handle being bent and re-bent very well. It is now weakened at that point. Plus the plastic foil was slightly damaged. The price to order replacement parts was not much less that a complete foiled rudder and SS hold down assembly from Hutchins. Monies i am sorry i have to spend but gotta. Like the hold down arrangement on the new rudder as it holds it not only down and up but also kicks up if accidentally grounded. Will let you know how it works compared to the previous design.

How is Starboard sold? I am tinkering with a galley redesign, though a very low priority. It looks as though it would make good countertop material.

Spring is around the corner and you'll get it all done!

Starboard is sold at West Marine, etc.  You can also find deals on ebay.  My experience is that it expensive but good stuff.

I guess I will be able to figure out, quickly, if it is leaking or not because of all this darn rain.

It is a very good material. We use it on some exterior applications for the homes we work on. Outside shower doors...very simple and clean. Never needs paint. Nice stuff.
