In water vs. dry dock for the winter...

Cold enough these two weeks to walk across the ice at Wam-Ma-Lam-A lagoon where the boats are parked in the summer.

Now that the water is frozen I need to get under the cantilevered fingers and do a little work ... three out of the six half inch x 10 inch bolts with nuts and washers snapped their hex heads off. Have it held together with a C clamp.  I want my clamp back. Have to use the bottle jack on the ice to 'lift' the arm up against the vertical wide flange and rebolt.

Years ago those twenty five foot sticks of wide flanges were straight up and down and the wood header across and under the deck use to sit atop the WF. The slow slide continues. At least none of my aluminum welds on the two fingers cracked or broke.
