it isn't every day you get to meet people like the greenes. they are smart, funny, courageous, energetic, committed, caring ------. hell, i could go on and on. they define the work "partners"". we will miss you next year. i know i speak for a lot of people when i wish you all the best  as your new adventure begins. fair winds, calm seas, white sand, and emerald waters await.

nicely said steve.

mike's always positive attitude will be missed and thanks brenda for all the sailing gifts you've bestowed on us all.

next time time we're in the gulf, we'll look for the lady on the for-deck reading, and the tall skipper with a wide grin.

best to you both, you have stopped chasing your dream and are now living it.

I can only echo what's already been said. Mike is the finest curmudgeon anyone is likely to meet. And Brenda is such a sweet woman that I feel like having one of my uncles kidnap Mike so I can steal her away!!!!!  But let's not dismiss their being present next year, heck it's a whole year away and it's amazing how far a proper bribe can go! The best to you, my friends and you begin this journey of a lifetime. Remember to hoist your PBR banner and proudly wave it high!!!!
Love you both!
Bob

Good luck to you both! And we will be in touch so if we ever head south, we plan to atleast catch up for a drink or 2!

I know you will enjoy yourselves!, be sure not to leave us here at the forum, stay and keep us informed!

Is it possible that your loss is my gain??  Does this signal the permanent move to the Gulf Coast??  Is the new boat located at Orange Beach??  If so, that will finally give me the opportunity to meet the Greene's in person.  And they have to be great people, anyone who can put up with Bob.........well, you know.........

Heading to the Gulf this month sometime, going to scallop and fish and maybe sail.

Howdy Brackish.  Yup, we have completely moved onto our Island Packet 31.  After another 7-10 days of cleaning and repairing in Port Charlotte, then we plan on slowly working our way north to Orange Beach.   Arriving some time in early October we will be living aboard (most likely at Bear Point Marina) until January when we will be heading south for several months.

As to getting along with Bob - we have moved even farther away from him. Coincidence?

We'd love to share a cold one with you aboard your boat or ours.  I'll PM you our cell phone numbers so we can connect in October.

Hey Mike and Brenda, great.  I hope when you finally set sail you will still be able to keep us up to date on the Blog.  If you happen to be passing by Cape San Blas (a great anchorage inside the point) or the Marina at Port St. Joe (very nice marina, walking distance to much) in October, I'll buy the beer and maybe a night off the boat in Mexico Beach.  Beach house usually available in October and I'm often there.  Thanks for the numbers, mine by return PM, I'll be checking your northbound progress.

Mike: I have great news! Ya know that condo that was for sale near your? We just bought it! Wow!!! This is gonna be so  cool. We can come over everynight for dinner, PBR and just to hang out! I'm so excited and I'm sure you are too! Mike.....Mike.....are you there, Mike? Probably just fainted from sheer delight.
