I'm Jay Marsh.  I bought  a 1990 23 D #512 in July 2004, which hopefully will be back in the water by September.  I grew up on Martha's Vineyard, but have lived in Arkansas since 1977.  I took sailing lessons when I was about seven/eight years old, and have sailed a variety of "small" boats ever since.  However, prior to the 23 D, the AMF Puffer is the only boat I've ever owned that had more than one sail.  I kept the AMF on the Vineyard, where my mother still lives, but lost it in the October 1991 Perfect Storm.  I currently own a 1979 Phantom, which I keep on the Vineyard, and recently sold my 1972 Laser to the owner of the Little Rock Yacht Club, where the 23 D awaits epoxy barrier coating and anti-fouling paint.  I'm a forensic economist.  My wife, Tommie Sue, is a retired high school english teacher.  My daughter, Sarah, gave birth to twin girls in May 2004, and it was the thought of me sailing this summer on the Laser with the twins that convinced the family to purchase the 23 D.  The boat's regular home will be the 48,000 acre Lake Ouachita in Arkansas.  But we also anticipate trailering the boat to the Gulf Coast and to New England.  My other car is a 1966 Jaguar E-Type Roadster.

Hi, Jay!  You can reach me on my cell phone at (501) 514-4622 just about anytime.  I work in SWLR, so I'm up & out at Oh-Dark-Thirty weekdays, and usually off by 3:30 in the afternoons.  I've also asked Buddy about doing the barrier coat on my boat, so I'd definitely like to see how it's going and keep abreast of your progress and the results.  I have just acquired a slip on Lake Beaverfork which is actually a glorified pond but is only a few miles from my house.  I'm going to build a decent boarding dock this fall and use it primarily for convenience on the weekends when I need to hang close to home.  I'm also considering using it as a means of introducing more people in the Conway area to the appeal of sailing versus tear-assing across the water in a thunderous 300-hp inboard, especially on a lake that size.  I'll try to give you a call soon, but feel free to beat me to it.  Later!
