Loafers Glory

Hi gang, I am a relatively new CP 23 owner. I purchased a used mkII (sail number 402) this past summer. I am thrilled with the boat and also to learn there is such an active online community. I sail out of Toronto, Canada. 2 months till launch.....hooray!

Tim Gardner

Welcome, Kurt, is it?  Love the name, Loafers Glory!  Reminds me of Bob23, another 23 owner, though he is of some ill repute.

I'm sure you'll hear from him.

Of course you'll hear from me! When have I ever kept my mouth shut before?
Welcome, Kurt! I also have a mk II- hull number 321 so she's a slightly older sister to Loafers Glory! I do love the name, by the way.
The 23's are wonderful boats and I'm coming up on my 10th anniversary. Looking forward to you sharing your adventures with us...and pics!!!

Welcome Kurt, to the madhouse!

When you get your bill in the mail from Bob23 demanding an exorbitant initiation fee with not so veiled threats of visits by Vinnie, Rocco, and several other members of the Jersey based "family" should payment not be prompt, just ignore it.  I've had to send these guys up there a couple of times to discuss that behavior with them.  Brackish and "Arion" 2005 CP23, Bay Springs Lake, MS

Hey Loaf, Welcome to the Compac Owners Cult.....err..I mean Association! Looks like you have already heard from Brackish,Tim and Bob23. Their barks are clearly worse than their bites! (not sure what that Alligator is all about!) With all kidding aside there is not a more welcoming, knowledgeable, and from what I have experienced fun group to be associated with. We have the pleasure of having our 1990 23D on the Chesapeake Bay in Topping, Virginia.

I have heard that leaving PBR cans in various places will distract the aforementioned cousins if they are trying to collect fees! Jus sayin....

I sail out of TS&CC which is on the west side of Toronto. We are a small sailing club with a good membership of all types. Since her arrival at the club, Loafer's Glory has won over a good number of fans. Especially popular is the trailer option which saves a considerable amount of launch and haul $ and also adds the option of sailing in far away lands accessible by highway.

Thanks for the warm welcome and I hope that Vinnie and Rocco are detained at the border. Also, please keep that Gator down there. Last thing I need is to wind up swimming into that things mouth.

Will post photos when on laptop next.
