My bottom most sail slide got stuck in the mast groove and self destructed. My solution was a 16 inch cable tie through the sail  grommet and around the mast forming a hoop similar to the old time sail slides.  I haven't tested it out yet in real conditions but it is worth a try and a simple fix.

Weird! I would replace the slide and make sure your track is well lubed. The loop will eventually wear away the mast anodizing creating yet another issue not to mention another snag  problem. Have not had that issue on either the Suncat or  the Horizon.

Just something to get me through to a permanent fix but thanks for the advice.
