Can anyone tell me the distance (inches) between the Compac  (mid hull) Legacy gold stripe  and the top of the boot stripe below  the middle of the aft cockpit ?

Planning a boat name in vinyl.

Hi Tom,

Just been down to the shed and measured it.

6.5 inches between stripes midway along the cockpit.

7.5 inches further forward level with the bulkhead at the forward end of the cockpit.

I guess boat name letters in that area could not be more than 4" high.  Seem right ?

It truly depends on the name and style of lettering. Normally a good shop would take a picture you have of the boat and transpose lettering for a preview, then through true to life measurements would make your graphic accordingly.

Well, I know that is what I did when I did graphics for 12 years....... I found when I didnt do that, you almost always had more room for things.

Hi Tom,

The lettering for my boat's name is, as you suggest 4 inches high.  (On the hull sides, starting halfway back along the cockpit)

On reflection they could have been a bit larger, perhaps 4.5 or 5 inches.
