News:

2-15-25: Gerry Hutchins, founder of Com-Pac, has crossed the bar and headed west.

Sincere condolences to his family, and a huge "Thank You!" to Gerry from all of us, I'm sure.
Requiescat in pace.

Bill Tait is an old college chum of mine.  In 2007 I wrote a feature article for Good Old Boat magazine, about him and his boat, Sinisterre, a replica of the classic 50s racing yawl  Finisterre,  the only boat to ever win the Newport-Bermuda Race three times in a row;  a feat which has never since been repeated.

The article is now online at the Sparkman & Stephens Association website.

As a bonus, this file also contains an article by Ted Brewer about Carleton Mitchell and the original Finisterre.
