Anyone interested in a North Texas gathering?  Possibly at Texoma or one of the lakes around Dallas?

Well Dusty, so far looks like its just you and me.  Let me know what weekends work best for you.

Will do! I'm picking up my '83 CP16 this coming Thursday. From the looks of her in the boat yard, having her ready within two weeks is an overestimation.

Nameless just yet, I considered "Dust in the Wind" and "Aspirin". I think I have settled on 'Eva'. The middle name of the first love of my life. Simple and elegant.

Oh, by the way Dan, I'm still learning the ropes , but I've stopped peeing on the top of the sail (the head). Learning as fast as I can!

Naming wise, the simpler the better; especially on a small boat.  Mine was named Therapy by a previous owner.  I kept it since it seemed to fit.

Dan, my boat is sailable. had her out three times now. i've got to wait for my new tires to arrive at the local west marine shop before i go anywhere far.

down here, we've got lakes travis, lbj, and buchanon that are worth mentioning. i know you're near lakes dallas, grapevine, hubbard, and lavon.

where would you be interested in going?

i'm very tempted to take a trip to the gulf and risk the saltwater.

we might just be able to drive over to houston and unload the boats downtown....

about the rigging, everything works great. i could use some new sails or reconditioning the ones i've got. i don't like how my main sheet is strung - it leaves a block crashing around the inside the cockpit if the wind is light. i've got to wait another month to hit another check i can play with to fix this. and by play, i mean go without, freaking economy!
