Hi All, i have. Magic Tilt 2010 trailer for my 76 CP 16. I know all the weight is supposed to be on the keel bunk board, but how many cross beams are there under that board? I have 2, 5 feet apart under the 6 ft board. The front of the keel sits over the forward cross beam, but the back of the keel is not over the rear beam, which is the end of the trailer. Is that arrangement OK, or should a 3rd cross beam be added?  I hope this makes sense.
Thanks

Pam,

My 1976 Magic Tilt trailer has an 8' 2x8 plank under the keel that rests on the three 3"x3" crossmembers.

The 2x8 plank fits into the smaller channel crossmember at the front of the trailer and is held in place with two stainless lag screws.  (I just did this because I like the way it looks and I had the longer plank so I just used it as rather than shortening it.  However, a 6' plank would be just as good.)

The two 3"x3" steel crossmembers are super strong and are more than adequate to support the 6' plank under your boat.

My CP-19 sits on two rollers. [no keel boards] on this Performance Extended Tongue Trailer.
The trailer has four rollers but the keel only touches any two at one time.
If tighten up with the winch, the keel touches the front and middle roller.
If the winch strap is relaxed she sits on the middle and next roller back. [never the back roller]

Why the concern?

my 96 CP-16 also utilizes 2 cross members only on a 2010 Magic Tilt  trailer... the same as yours

Your bunk setup sounds exactly like it should be configured.  No worries, you are fine!
