Getting the bottom done and then off to FDL. Got a great deal on U-Ship, a sailboat hauler for under $900. Let me know if anyone needs the contact. Insured and bonded, with all the DOT papers.

Hey Awfeith:
Good looking boat in and out of the water.
The rubber bumper midway up the side really breaks up the topsides nicely.  I wonder how it is attached?
Good luck with the move.

Works out to about what? $2.30 a mile? [NC to FLA.?]

Yep, my smilies when away too. Just black boxes with white x's.

Is the mid ship's rub rail just stuck on with double sided sticky tape?

skip.

Charlie / Skip:

About the rub rail, we lucked out that the PO ordered the mid hull rub rail on our boat, too.  It's the same thick black material as the rub rail at the hull-deck joint; fastened with stainless screws every 12"; with the same stainless rub strake screwed onto the black plastic stuff.

Visually, it seems to lower the freeboard so she looks a bit sleeker, perhaps.  As a practical matter, there've been countless times coming into a snug slip on a windy day with a cross current when I've been glad it's there!

And my reaction to that photo is the same as yours: nice looking boat.  Hope she has a safe trip down the highway and enjoys her new home.

Actually it's 762 miles ,New Bern to Tarpon Springs. Works out to just over a buck a mile.

The semi is making 5 mpg diesel, 762 miles, loading and un loading, plus driver plus permits, an insurance rider, plus ware, plus time ... the guy's hauling for nothing.

Sounds like you landed a good deal.

The side rub rail sounds great ... 'cept for tiny screw holes every 12 inches through the hull both sides ... ouch!

skip.

yes I will be going. Flying back from Barcelona moon the 7th of April. Just crossed from Ft Lauderdale on a cruise liner. 30 ft waves around Azores!
