The Com-Pac 25 looks huge!

I did not realize how big the Com-Pac 25 is especially on a trailer.  My friend is in the market for a boat so we took a ride to the sailboat shop on Glen Gadner NJ (about a 35 mile drive)
to look at a CP23 they had on the lot.  They had a CP25 that is sold so we did not get to look inside but that thing is massive sitting on the trailer compared to the 23 and the 19. You
would need a big truck to haul that thing around.

This was also the first time I have been in a 23 and it was a lot bigger than I expected.  The 23 needed a little more work then he wanted to put into it but while we were there he
was eying up a 97 Precision 23.   It needed a little work and the price reflected that but a lot less work then the Com-Pac 23.  I will say the mast on the P23 looks like a bear to step.
He is looking at a few CP 19's this week so I am not sure what direction he is going to go in

That 25 is a nice boat for sure. I am sure if there was one nearby and my wife was allowed to be inside for a minute that she would force me to buy it.

We looked at a Catalina 25 prior to buying the 19, had my truck pulled that 25, we would have bought it instead.....

The 19 was better priced though..... that Catalina 25 had a ton of stuff new on it...... amazing looking boat, and nice cabin space.

CP23 and CP25 in the water next to each other. The 25 has a lot more freeboard and the cabin trunk basically goes from gunwhale to gunwhale.

I believe you meant the 25 has a lot more freeboard. A WAY lot more. To get that kind of room inside of a trailerable boat something has to give. But proportionately and
ascetically, the 23 is a better looking boat. IMHO.

About as large a Com Pac you'd like to tow is a CP-27.

I helped set the mast and launch this Capri 26 with the shorter winged keel.

Oops. You are correct, I meant the 25.

You are  right Matt,it looks big to me too,it's my boat now and my Tundra is looking at it thinking,"You've got to be kidding." It is going South(I hope) to Barnegat Bay as soon as the ice around it melts. Fortunately Steve, the owner of the Sailboat Shop, has agreed to do the transportation, as he has towed mucho boats, compared to my towing a Precison 18. For many years I towed the Precision to the Outer Banks but the 25' says you ought to do this with a three quarter ton truck.
It does sit high on the trailer though, if the keel were on the ground, despite the high freeboard I think the boat would shrink quite a bit.
