Ginger and I are constantly coming up with projects to do to the boat....then talking about sailing and getting depressed, LOL

This is getting to be a long winter it feels like....... I have been so busy with Lodge work that I havent had time to go through last years pictures and video footage.

Spring time, where art thou!

Spring is here! The mockingbirds are singing and the pelicans are diving in our lake. Sure sign of spring here in SW Florida. Come on down! ;D

Snow sucks and Ice is even worse. We have not had power since 7am I lost a few trees in the backyard and a Pine in the front that missed my boat by about 10 feet.  it is also supposed to go down to 15 degrees tonight.
i am going to let the generator run about another hour or so so we can get the bedroom nice and warm. Then the whole Family will be sleeping in our bedroom ( My 2 daughters and our 2 dogs)

I can not wait for spring........

I guess we're getting off easy here in NJ. 37f...no snow on the ground...the bay ice has been melting a little. Of course, last week it started out in the single numbers. After 35 years of working outside- it's only weather.
One nice thing about having the Precision 15k that was given to me, on a nice day, I can go from trailer to sailor in 20 minutes. Can't wait!

As of last week, 41 inches of snow when we in Sturgeon Bay normally would have had 19 inches.
Well gotta fill up the bay and lake so I can take the wheels off the bottom of my CP-19.

skip.

While this has been the coldest winter (already) of the 22 years I've lived here, and while I know it is difficult to see the signs when you are buried in snow, take heart, it is almost over, a sure sign, despite being a little late this year, the daffodils have finally poked through. ;D

Salty19

What is this "spring" and "daffodils" you are referring to?    ;D

No signs of spring here.

Maybe I should build an iceboat?

i think that little "episode" that mike and carl had in a public restroom may have "affected" mike somewhat

I guess I'm still in the honeymoon phase with snow. I really like it. Even don't mind shovelling it. Yeah, I'm wierd that way. Back when we got a lot, I'd make an igloo out front...it was fun with the then new to us Siberain Husky "Scarlet".
Pretty ingenious housings, those igloos. A number of years ago while xc skiing and snow camping at Lake Placid, we met some Norwegians who were staying in an igloo they built and we got the low down on how and why they work and the proper way to build 'em. If built correctly, they can maintain an inside temp of about 30 degrees no matter what the outside temp is. We haven't had enough snow here in NJ for quite some time to build another.
I finally got out cross country skiing this winter after 4 or 5 years of none. Nothing like it...maybe I should live in Maine? And Port Charlotte!

Bob, I'm tellin' ya, it's way colder here in the midwest than on the coast of NJ.
It's like comparing a refrigerator to a freezer. So come on out...you'll love it here!  ;D

Let's see...32 degrees right now in Manahawkin, NJ, I'm 9 here in Central OH, Greene is 7 in Madison, WI, Kicknbug in central IL, 15.
Brrrr.....it's not going to be above freezing until Wednesday, then only at 34, then back to 0-20 for awhile.

Allegedly we will get snow next week. I am thinking it will be rain instead.

I haven't had the sailing weather I thought I would, but I'm getting some stuff done that I need to do.

Yawl that like to shovel the snow, come on down!
