Is the ORIGINAL made to fit porta potty a "Thetford 135 Marine"?

I had to replace the porta-potty on my 1983 Cp-16 and bought a Thetford 135. It's a good fit under the companionway between the bunks. The
"marine " is the same unit except it has metal clips to screw it down and secure it. I bought the regular version without clips because the unit needs to be pushed back out of the way to stow it and pulls out forward to use. ( Compac designed the space for it that way). I have had three Thetford products on different boats and an RV, and it is a quality unit and spare parts are available, ( as far as a porta- potty goes.)
Look around on line for the best price. The chemicals you use are important -
I use Aqua-Kem available at Walmart or Dick's sporting goods which work well.

TYVM!  I had that info but wasn't sure it was correct and I didn't know the difference between the marine and the other.  Thetford 135 it is!

I use vinegar to keep mine smelling fresh.

The acid in the vinegar kills the odor of urine and it won't harm a septic system when you dump it.
