This may sound like a stupid question but I want to get a sail track stop for my 1980 C16.  But the boat is stored away from home (can't measure it) and I am not sure what size to get.  Defender has them in several sizes and types.  http://www.defender.com/product3.jsp?path=-1|118|2358525|2358528&id=706447

Can anyone help?  I believe my mast is original.

Thanks,
Saluki

1/4" round by an inch long isn't it? Comes with a nylon washer between the mast and the thumb screw.
The larger in diameter the thumb screw is the better.

Need one sail stop under the sail slides just above the slide opening in the mast.

Need another under the boom.

" On my CP 16, the sail track stop is 1/2" in diameter "

Your probably right DP, a 1/4" is pretty thin. Aren't these things a common size? Buy the smallest dia. you can. I think that will fit the slot.
