Armchair sailor redefined.

Note the gas tank footrest for shorty legs! Boy, these HC's have a big cockpit.

(Sorry about the slight out of focus)

Cheers,

Nice tiller!

I just finished swapping the tiller on my Sun Cat for a wheel, just for the heck of it.

Hi Capt_Nemo, nice work on the wheel, I like the storage racks.
By the way, I stole your idea for simple lazy jacks, they're working out great, thanks for the idea. Cheap and very effective, a winning combo!

I swapped the braided upper line on the port side for low stretch Spectra line  and made up another piece of Spectra with a snap hook which goes into the loop above the bungee. When I need a topping lift (bimini at anchor)  I just snap it on and fasten the other end to the reefing cleat near the end of the boom.

There is nothing under my boom to stop the bungees sliding forward, so I added a light line between the bottom of the 2 bungees and back to the main sheet bail near the boom end.

Cheers,
Derek

Thanks.

Happy to share CHEAP and EFFECTIVE ideas like the Lazy Jacks.

Kudos and Good Karma to you both.
Beautiful Boats-the only Suncat with a wheel and the only Horizon Cat with a tiller. Wow there is a lot of foot room on HC's!  And the Admiral looks happy, what can be better? :)
