So, I bought a boat that had the name "queen Irene".   I'm not a fan of this at all.  However, all the letters except "Que" had mostly rubbed off, and I thought it was perfect.    So, if I shorten her name to "Que" am I really renaming the boat?   What must I do to rename her properly?

I don't want to bring bad luck.   I once took a banana on a boat and that didnt go so well.

One time a Native American lady and her husband wanted me to put a new name on the boat.

So I cut the new name and they met me out there, I stripped off the old one and they had me wait about 20 minutes, while they danced around and had things lit up and so on, so forth, then told me I could put the new name on.

Me...... well, I figure you can name things whatever you want. If you know own it, to me it isnt "yours" till you technically name the boat, even if you strip the old name off and dont rename it, that to me is renaming it.

Just my opinion..... but I am a American Mutt, so no traditions need to be followed, LOL

The way I understand it, if it's in the water you must row around the boat twice in a counter clockwise direction. If on the hard, you may walk around it in the same manner. Or you could save yourself all that trouble and just send me $100.00 and I'll make sure any evil spirits left over from the other name are eliminated. Guaranteed*
