The teak was scrap that I had around which I stacked and used west system epoxy to bond together before before doing the final cuts to make the blocks.  My backing plates were made of 1/8th in mirror polished stainless plate scraps I had from my mast step project.  the double block being used is a nautos that I got from ebay for a good price and looks to be pretty good, looks like a harken ripoff.

Harrier

Koinonia, sorry for the dumb question, but I cant tell how your traveler travels...
Do you manually move it up on deck, or does it just stay in a fixed placed and you sheet the line in and out as needed?
Looks like a much simpler arrangement then on Harrier.  One line does the job of three.  Just curious if you're sacrificing any control?
Thanks

MacGyver

Koinonia,

I think I am wondering same as Harrier, how do you control the port to starboard movement?

It moves just like the original in the cockpit. On a cruising boat I don't really care for the line control to move the traveler though its a must have on my race boat
