After a sudden killer cold attacked me this week, I'm still holding to my plans to fly down to PG tomorrow morning (0600 hrs) to visit my daugher. It's gonna be a whirlwind tour as I return to my beloved NJ on Wednesday evening. It's always fun to see her...me miss each other and I'm sure she's got all kinds of stuff planned for us to do.
This is a precurser to our trip down in March when my wife and I will attempt to spend 2 weeks in the Sunshine State. I plan to combine a trip to the Compac factory and we have old friends up in Tallahassee. Maybe then I can commandere one of you fine  sailors into a sail in your local waters....the clock is ticking, and last time I checked: I wasn't getting any younger!

hey bob.. that is a quick trip indeed.  but  i know that i jump at any chance to head north to see my kids..  have a safe trip!   thanks for the input on the boat length thread..  i got a lot of interesting responses there..    take care,  jt

Bob,
I would love to have you entertain me while you are in Clearwater.  :)
I'm right around the corner from the factory.
If you can't talk Gerry and Rich into taking you for a sail on a new pilot house when you come up, than hopefully you will settle for going out on my 19 with me.

Bob23,

Be sure to check in with us on Charlotte Harbor before your March trip. Enjoyed linking up the last time you were visiting in our Paradise.

Depending on both our schedules, a sail on "Frisky", the sloopish Cat Boat, might indeed be possible!

Best Wishes

Bob,
Have a great trip!  Soak up all of the sunshine that you can!

Captain Nemo,
That is a nice picture of your beautiful boat!  Good shot!

Good Day, fellas.

I'm back.
Got in at 5:30 last night. When I left, it was 85 degrees and sunny and 39 degrees and rainy in NJ. But all that sunshine really isn't all it's cracked up to be...a man needs some ice and snow and bone freezing cold to keep things in perspective, right? Please- somebody convince me!!!!!
Since I did not sailing and very little boat related stuff, I'll post an update in the off topic section...when I get a chance.
Capt Nemo: I'd love to get out sailing on your Suncat and I equally enjoyed meeting you last time I visited Paradise.
Billy: I may be in touch because I do plan to visit the Compac gurus in Clearwater. I would love if they offered a test sail on the Pilothouse!
Kick: Didn't buy the 16. I'm still hoping to get this one up here that was Sandy-damaged.
JT: Although I get to see my son every day ( we work together) I don't get to see my daughter near enough. She's been going through a rough time lately and combined with being homesick, I decided to throw reason to the wind and zip on down. One of the best decisions I've ever made. In the past  I let work take too much of a priority over many more important things. Those days are over. Last time I checked, work will always be there. My kids lives are much more important!

Bob, I think you took our warm weather back with you. After a week in the 80s, it dropped down to 60 today.
What is this? January?

Dang! I knew I left something on the plane! It's 37 here and that's the high for today. I'll call Spirit Airlines and see if they can find your warm weather...I'll send it right down!
It really was unseasonably warm when I was there. Twas a nice break...even got to swim in the Gulf for a bit.
